Children's vision

We take the vision of our kids seriously, but at the same time we expect the kids to have fun.

Vision doesn't end at the bottom of the letter chart.

As behavioural optometrists, we know that vision is a process that also involves the brain and body. There's no point being able to see a word if you don't know what it says.

That's why a children's exam with us looks at much more than clarity: how the eyes track, focus and team together, and how your child takes in and uses what they see.

Vision therapy

Training the skills behind seeing.

Vision therapy is a personalised, non-invasive program of activities that builds eye tracking, focusing and eye-teaming. Sessions are hands-on and engaging, and progress is measured as we go.

Visual information processing

We assess your child's visual information processing skills and provide remedies to help improve them, including custom spectacles or vision therapy.

02

Vision therapy

A personalised, non-invasive program to improve eye tracking, focus and eye-teaming. We use custom-designed therapy or the Optometric Extension Program's standardised programs, whichever suits your child best.

Myopia control

Short-sightedness usually starts in childhood and tends to get worse as the eye keeps growing. We can slow it down with specialised soft contact lenses, ortho-K, atropine drops or specially designed spectacle lenses.

Why myopia matters

Myopia is caused by the eye continuing to grow instead of settling around three years of age. Higher levels of myopia are linked to a number of eye conditions later in life, so slowing it down early matters.

We'll measure how your child's eyes are changing and give you clear advice on the options.
